I see the trainers for both 1.0 and 1.1 - I haven't had any crashing problems using the DIE v1.0 exe with the fixed steam version. (as in, not the retail DVD)

Did you guys make sure you've updated your Nvidia drivers to v182.06 ? I did that before I even installed the game. Of course that won't help if you're not using an Nvidia graphics card..

it doesn't really matter what card you have for the game, its the crack (No CD Fix) were using that having issues with the trainer it self. I google all over the place and it seems only there's the DIE no cd fix bummer wanted to have some fun since I beated this game and just want to plow straight through the game for fun. since the Talk button is now for multi-player booooooooo

I had the same problem with the trainer crashing the game. Here are a few more tips:

Steam sucks, so you may need to disconnect from the internet and run the game in offline mode. That will require an offline key for the trainer as well (until the public version becomes available). You'll find it on the troubleshooting guide page.

Put the trainer (and the offline key) in the same folder as the Fear2.exe file. You may even want to try this before bothering with the offline key. It's buried in the Steam folder. Default is Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/common/fear2

Be sure your antivirus is totally shut down. If your offline, you won't need it anyway.

I had to do all three of these or it would crash as soon as I hit F1. I didn't have to apply any cd cracks or fixes, nor did I have to adjust my screen resolution.

@Unrheal...funny. I see 1.01 and 1.02.. but not the 1.0 . Thats the one i downloaded here last week. That one works like a charm with the DIE version. I even found out how to keep the pickup working. When you load the game and add the cheats, be sure NOT to activate the unl. ammo option. Keep picking up the ammo you find and pick up some weapons. Then you can activate the unl.ammo option. Voila...for as long as you keep the game running, you can pick up any weapon.

LOL. Forgot to ask AGAIN...plz re-upp the 1.0 version for anyone with the DIE version of the game....Last time i'll mention that that version works for the DIE release.
