thanks Karach0s, but i know about balance.txt unfortunately, there you can only change how much experience you get by solving quests, but not how much you get by killing enemies.. that's why i asked.

Yeah, I skimmed through the mentioned posts and didn't find it either. But I would guess it has to be somewhere in this (or similar) file. It probably isn't hardcoded in game executables. Well, good luck searching, anyway, AndyMutz. If you find it, post a word, please.
By the way, I've finally managed to compile the decoder so that it doesn't use the cygwin dll (long live Eclipse + MinGW! ). So anyone who doesn't want to keep cygwin dll can download the new release of the editor here: Link. Notice that the arhcive is considerably smaller.

@Karach0s Thanks seems to be working fine.
@Funest On my system the addon is running fine. It crashes as often as the original game before. Its not better or worse as the original game.
But only for the addon there will be patches. The original game will get no patch support anymore, because the developer Ascaron become insolvent (the most developer are working now for other employer) and the new owner of the game rights will publish a patch only for the addon (for now this is the knowledge for germany, but I think worldwide there can't be a difference).
At the moment the addon (Version 2.64) doesn't run well with Windows 7, only patch level below 2.43 (without addon and old patch) is working with 7 at moment. But a patch is announced for the addon.

I myself tried to run Sacred v 2.43 on Windows 7 (Pro RTM from MSDN AA) and hadn't any luck. The game crashed after a minute or so of gameplay. So I have to keep my good ol' XP just for Sacred. Needless to say I don't have the expansion and can't test it. That's another reason to cry.

This is a bit off topic for editing characters but thought I would share what I found. I have been playing with the chest using Karach0s's chest decoder. I have managed to find some of the item attributes. They are as follows
Integer 8 values
Position 268 Fixed value of 251 ????? Position 270 Number of items in chest (Start Position) ITEM 1 Start Position + 4 x-position in chest (0 - 23) Start Position + 5 y-position in chest (0 - 12) Start Position + 6 x-size start Position + 7 y-size Start Position + 8 Number of items in position (Potions and stuff. I have not tried it to clone items although it may work)
EDIT: Can now confirm that items such as armour daggers and other items can be cloned by changing the number of items in the slot. They show up as a picture of 1 item with a number in the top of the item. Just as potions and alchemy items do. To have them as individual items take out of chest drop and then pick up.
Start Position + 80 Level Changing causes wierd behaviour (Loss of all bonuses)
Integer 16 values
Start Position + 76 Item id (Can be found in blueprint.txt) Start Position + 89 Item type (Value taken from blueprint.txt and further information from itemtype.txt)
16 bit value of 32768 + 2 positions is end of item 16 bit value of 32768 + 3 positions is start of new item
I have successfully changed one item into another but cannot change either the picture shown in the inventory or the size of the item. Shields that look like daggers and the slagelambers set all looking the same are some of the problems I can't solve as yet.
The items that I have changed by changing Item id and Item type have all of their attributes changed automatically so they act like the real item (as far as I can tell). If you try to sell them they are sold for 0 gold but you buy back for some gold, this may or may not be their real value.
Hopefully this will be of use to someone in the future.
EDIT: Karach0s I will send you some code. It's pretty basic but hope you can see where I was going with it.

@Karach0s well am running Windows 7 Ultimate-x86 and Sacred 2 works perfectly but....you have to put it on Windows XP (service pack 3) compatibility mode and run it as Administrator.
You might wanna try that also works on x64 version!
