Do this and you have 90% chances that it will fix the console problem

    open regedit

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters

There should be an entry named OverrideKeyboardSubtype with a type of REG_DWORD and a value of 2.
Set the value to 0 and reboot.

now, uninstalling the IR drivers in the device manager (if you have them) will work to enable the console to come up.

if you don't have any IR drivers, then just doing the reg change should fix it for you.

I think you did something wrong cause It is a fix I tried and I got over a support website and it works..

Next time read better and don't make errors and maybe you won't have to restore your pc

No matter where you bought your PC from, it most certainly came with several CDs, including (but not limited to) the operating system, sound drivers, graphics drivers, and so forth. Just find the disc with your sound drivers on it, pop it in, and reinstall them. Problem solved, no data lost. ^^
