Fallout 3 Message Board  

I get this really strange crash- no matter what version of the game i am currently using. Before, i couldnt get out of the vault without it crashing, but after about 3 uninstall-reinstall's, i am now able to exit the vault, only to have the game crash when i look in the direction of the vault. It would be nice to be able to approach the vault.

Im using that stupid piece of crap vista 32-bit (im fed up with it, but where can i go? i like DX10 graphics too much to go back to XP).

I do have the latest drivers- updated about a week to two weeks ago, so i have the most recent. Unpatched, .15 and .35 versions of the game all react the same, only thing different i did was not install it in "program files" folder. Think i should try that?

Also one other thing: will disabling UAC help and would you recommend it?

by the way, this has nothing to do with the trainer- it happens with or without it on

EDIT: ok, now i found out that it just crashes about 10 seconds after exiting the vault.
