Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Message Board  

So how has EA done with the latest release of C&C. At first when EA bought out Westwood I thought they would kill the series but was surprised with C&C 3

To be honest, there are just as many people who hate it as there are that people that love it.

You will see proof of that just from reading other post here... and throughout the web.

Guess it comes down to what expectations you have.

With any game your gonna find people that either love it or hate it, but since the C&C franchise is one of the granddaddies of the RTS genre it really comes down to how willing long-time fans are to accept any additions or changes the new game brings to the series as a whole.

If you ask if a game is any good, most of what you'll get are personal opinions, which are anecdotal at best.

Best I can tell you is that, if you already like C&C, you'll probably like RA3, too.
From my POV, the campaigns were a bit short, but you can probably chalk that up to there being 3 Factions this time around, rather then the traditional 2. Other then that, the FMVs were on par with C&C3's quality wise, the different building and unit mechanics looked well-rounded and nicely implemented, and IMO it was a good game.

I Did't Play It Yet But Friend Says That There Are Some Bugs In It.

That's where the patches come in. I updated my game to v1.06 and have experienced no bugs at all. Runs like a charm.

There is only one thing I never liked in rA3- the maps. Some are fairly good, but the rest are horrible.

The game is excellent, a 8.7/10.

Im gunna buy it later today actually. I played the multiplayer beta when they put that out a while ago. I liked it. Curious to see how the compaigns are.
