Red Alert is returning with Red Alert 3: Uprising exclusively for the PC. An epic single-player campaign expansion, the standalone title catapults players deeper into the Red Alert universe, giving them more of the action-packed gameplay they have been clamoring for, while offering a gauntlet of new and compelling challenges with the new Commander’s Challenge mode.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising is an upcoming single-player stand-alone expansion to Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. It is currently planned to only be released for Microsoft Windows and will be offered as a digital download. It will not require Red Alert 3 to play. It will feature about 30 new maps for traditional skirmish with many of these take place in new environments. It will not contain any multiplayer elements such as cooperative play or online play.

They lied to you. It's focused on single-player only.

They are attempting to "suck up" to the fans because of the firing of their teams and canceling of their games (not to mention the DRM on RA3). They know if the company continues this behavior more gamers will stop buying EA's games, resulting of everyone loosing jobs, we (the consumer) having more money to spend on other game series and or ones own life.

*bursts into a fit of laughter* Gamers with a life! Ah, that's great! Hilarious! OH... *wipes away a tear from laughter*

Ahem, anyway, the lack of multiplayer is a bad move on the developer's part. Sure, it's not like it's adding a new class or units (or so I gather) but with 30 or so new maps for skirmishes, that could easily be added into multi-player.... blah.

I do wonder if maybe it has some kind of upgrade-like ability, like with the Dawn of War games. Each one being a standalone, but if you put in the CD Key from the previous games, you get those units, maps, etc. Though by what I've heard so far, probably not. And that makes me a sad kat =T.T=
