i played single player for about 20 mins got bored went into multiplayer and i gotta say its kinda fun not sure its worth 40 bucks but if you collect games :P this one is not that bad here is a online gameplay vid i put together so you can get a idea

as allways, they push out titles without polishing it, it could be better if they actually worked a bit on it...

Well i can tell you now this is a game worth buying only once the heavy price tag drops. I was one of those people like many others who anticipated the game, the teaser trailer made it look to good to resist, yet after many hours of playing and trying to tolerate it, i have to say it is just simply one of those button basher games, the combos are the same pretty much for both sides, only the heros have different abilities and even those e.g saruman and gandolf share similar traits. Further more i was hoping for a rank system or some sort of experience to unlock fell beasts etc which can be played in game sadly this does not happen.

What should have been , could have been simply never happened, the co-op could have been beautiful, many players all raging through a glorious war... sadly its limited to 2 people, further more your lucky to get a connection, very weak on the server side.

Most of the multiplay servers are dead / yellow red connection e.g super high pingers. Sadly its a game that can be played for about 5 mins then your bored to death either of looking for the servers or the tedious game play.

The only bright element for this game is it may be a platform or rather a stepping stool for things to come, with more consideration and perhaps a few kicks in the ass @ ea studios we may see a hugely improved sequal or at the very least patches to get this game to the glory it really should have been.


overall Graphics 4/10 (considering the DX10 potential) , SFX 3/10 Very poor over all sound for both voice acting and general fx, playability dare i even go there 1/10, moddability n/a don't know yet, over all this game gets a very weepy 4/10 from me.

EA you need to get your act together of face the music and die a quick death....

i agree with your post this game could of been sooo much better it has some solid roots but they dint take it very far

however ea is not stupid just like Hollywood has b-movies there is such a thing as b-games on a budget and a schedule and sales projections are measured accordingly in other words they know exactly how much a piece of crap is worth

now the real question is not why ea releases ****y tittles but why we buy them :P i own the game btw but i collect games as its part of my work

Everyone should know they will be updates for this game but for now it is new

Game runs perfectly fine with max settings on my comp.

However, not a huge fan. This game is just a LOTR version of SW: Battlefront with updated graphics.

I actually really like this game. Not every game is going to have perfect graphics (Mario is still awesome in 8 bits)

I must say the voice acting does suck though, and that narrator is sort of annoying.

Fighting warriors is also pretty stupid. Also I get mad when I look out into the background and see massive fights and stuff going on (Pelennor Fields) and I'm stuck here fighting a couple of soldiers instead of a couple hundred.

And guys I would say you just wait for some mods. Whether total conversions or some way to disable/reduce enemy officer special power use or even just reduce the amount of them (WARRIORS).

P.S. If you guys wait too, the price will drop.
