I changed the Ge3.ini file but the console doesnt work.When i type in any codes i get an syntax error.If it does say that it gives me the item (gold)its not there in the inventory.If anyone knows where the hex address is for gold i know how to hex edit.If you can tell me why the consul doesnt work,it would make it easier.I'm using Win XP SP3 home.Thanks!

Try going to the World of Gothic website it has answers to most things Gothic. I never has any problems with the console after I activated it. Most of my beef with the game has to do with how unpolished and problematic the gameplay is. I think Jowood really shot themselves in the foot with this one, just my opinion. Even the company itself apologized for the rough nature of the game.

Dunno about this one, I played Gothic 3 but i needed files for the console to work...
Just downloaded this one so if it doesn't work and i get a fix for the console then ill tell you.
