I tried googling it, but I didn't find anything. I would like a few of you who own Fallout 3 to go deep inside the Virulent Underchambers of the Dunwich Building and tell me if this high pitch screeching noise occurs that almost shatters your speakers. I'm not sure what happened, I don't think this is suppose to occur, but my ears are killing me now and I'm sure it might of did something to my TV.
EDIT: The Dunwich Building is located near Girdershade (the location of the side quest "The Nuka-Cola Challenge" ) or Tenpenny Tower

I believe something in my game is corrupt. I'm going to return it pretty soon.

I tested it out...It was sort of spooky the way you explained it,but it's probably your game.Piracy ftl! xD I had no screeches no problems except the few ghouls here and there. It must be some sort of an amplified or broken screech from a ghoul as they usually do before attacking. But seriously dude you creeped me out with this story.I thought I was gonna see ghosts or something.
Ayy lmao

I got mine for Christmas. No piracy.
But yeah it was pretty creepy on mine, also hurt me in reality by damaging my ear drums. But the reason I'm returning it to the store is because it had that issue along side freezing and slowdowns. None of my other games have those problems. Not even Oblivion. haha

do you have speakers plugged into your TV? i tried what you said and it did the same for me, but i tried it again with my speaker volume low and TV volume high and there was a VERY faint screech

No, it was just the TV volume. It wasn't even turned up high, and when turning it down it still had that noise.
