Don't get me wrong, I think this game has a good graphics, atmosphere, and seems very open-ended. The problem is that I have gotten to the second map, and can't seem to get the will to finish the game. I am normally the type to keep playing until I finish, but this game seems to keep me doing the same mission types over and over. The story line seems very weak to me, and a little hard to follow. You can swim, drive, or run for hours and only see a couple of zebra run around. I thought that there were lions and crocidiles, or other dangerous animals in Africa. No matter which faction I am doing missions for, their "cloned" mercs still insist on shooting at me, while I am just driving around. And don't even get me started on the fact that all enemy vehicles have superchargers, that can catch you within 5 seconds. Sorry to rant, but while the core of this game engine is good, I find gameplay very uninspiring.

Same here. The only reason I played it through was because I got to shoot people. Really, that's all.
I also found a buggy!
Spent about five hours blasting about the desert in that.

I think this game would been better if it was more of an Rpg than Action. That way you "actually" have goals to do instead of just driving around and getting shot at every corner road.

i agree also, this game has sa on my pc for a month now and i havnt touched it once, instead installing older games that keep my interest. I had high hopes for this game but meh, oh well.
and i agree the rpg element woulda made it alot more entertaining, like upgrading weapons or gear( i know u buy improvments but i mean looks and alot more upgrades)

Same here. I agree. Personally I am quite disappointed that the story is not so driven compared to the first one. This game is lack luster regarding its story and plot. I've been playing GTA4 and Fallout 3 more than this game. I was expecting more in Far Cry 2. With the first title, I really enjoyed playing it around 15 times already. With this second title, I don't have the appetite to continue.

I also am up to second half.Could not be bothered going on.There no background on your character who you are. All the missions are dull with no good twists to add to the story. There is no listening in on mercs talking like with those wonderful binoculars from the first one. They really could have had the odd spot of great beauty in the scenery.I think they tried to use driving time to get to the mission as added depth to the game but it does'nt work. It's just boring driving with no great lanscape to see.
