Italy was a pain in north Africa, but your right past that they weren't much of a major problem. They did slow the US down a lot going up through Italy but part of that was also the German Troops that were there that were in command for the most part and used the local troops to help them. But I agree Soviets would be a good one to add in and why not add in Japan and China also since they were parts of WW2 also.

Jump from island to island and fight major battles in China against Japan. Or invade China with jap forces. Think that would require a game change to more of an Risk style game then you into the rts battle or something like the total war series but as for right now it makes sense. Would be something tho to see if you could really take the whole world as Germany or Japan.

But thats a game for another time.
