I've held off on getting this game until now because of the widespread reports of the game being extremely buggy, but now that a couple of patches have come out, I was rethinking about maybe picking it up again. I was just wondering if anyone on this board could tell me their experiences with the latest patch and if it's still buggy or not?

v1.5.04 and up played completely fine for me. The only time I got a bug was when I installed an incompatible mod.
Other than that, you might have a few save game problems after updating, but what's so bad about starting the game over

Use 1.5.07 and you should be able to play it, but you will still find a bug here and a bug there but nothing significant. Buy the game.

Hi, 1.5.07 is fine an the bugs that are left are very minor. But all of them are overlooked when you get into the realistic combat. And friggishli smart AI.

Old topic I know, but the only bug/s that annoys me is the sound issues. The sounds (radio noises, NPC speech, sound-effects, etc) keep speeding up or slowing down. I'm not sure if anyone else is having issues with an X-Fi soundcard such as myself or its just the game - all my driver are up-to-date. I would love to hear a solution to this issue if anyone has one please.
All the other bugs are fixed, such as various graphic hitches, AI being odd or fellow members not leading you to places. This is in relation to the 1.5.09 patch which i started re-playing on as I gave up on early patch attempts!
