This game confuses me somehow. Graphically, it's brilliant. There are a ton of new acrobatics that just look cool (though generally don't come into play unless you're treasure hunting with no enemies). The story is, like always, excellent in my opinion. The voice acting is also bang on.
But oh my dear god, the controls are so bloody awful. Lara gets stuck on the stupidest **** and a lot of the grapple/swing puzzles are so finicky that you usually repeat them a few times before you get the right height. Also, they took a lot of the challenge on the regular jumps out, so Lara often makes these ludicrous movements and just "floats" into place. I dunno, after playing through the whole game and treasure hunt, I feel disappointed. There are no time trials and a lot of the extra goodies that came with Anniversary and Legend.
My bottom line: if you're a die hard Tomb Raider fan like I am, go ahead and get it, but make sure to get it on the Xbox if you can (extra DLC coming out in December and February). But if you've only played Anniversary and maybe even Legend, you will probably feel let down by this game as a whole.

Underworld is more like the older TR games in some aspects. In Legends and Anniversary, the vault points looked like curbs glued to a wall. In Underworld, the vault and climb points blend in a bit better with the scenery. The sequences from getting from place to place in Underworld are also a bit more subtle than the last two games.
