Well my modding days go back quite aways. There was some game for the Atari 800 (like an Apple II), called PitFall and after a frustatingly long time it took to beat the final sequence, I dissassembled it and disabled the collision detection code, but that was back when games were like 64K or less.
I've done this with a few games since, the last being High Stakes. Here the goal was to allow collision off play via tcp/ip, but I had to tie it to the damage option since the collision option wasn't passed from the host to the guests.
I've used CoSMOS and generic game trainer to look for specific values or repeated scans looking for any changes to narrow things down. The repeated scan process can be very time consuming.
Anyway I have an idea of how long it would take me to figure out this stuff and I'm impressed at how quickly you guys do this.

Trainer making is hard, i did try doing it once long back but i just gave up, too much work Well, i just wanna thank cheathappens.com coz they always come out with trainers for almost all the games, Caliber rox altho right now 'm still a free member 'm lookin forward to upgrading my account so i wont have to wait 2 or so months for t public release of trainers
