    I was messing around with the balance.txt and changed

    TraderOfferUpperRareBase = 6,

    to

    TraderOfferUpperRareBase = 1000,

    now vendors have yellows and im at the newest patch, hope this helps

    hi im just wonder has anyone figured out in these-
    ChanceForAdditionalSlots = 450,
    ChanceForSlotToImprove = 200,
    ChanceIncForSlotImprovePerRareLevel = 50,
    ChanceToBecomeSlotItemForBlankItem = 0,
    ChanceToBecomeSlotItemForMagicItem = 0,
    ChanceToBecomeSlotItemForNormalItem = 250,
    ChanceToBecomeSlotItemForUniqueItem = 0,

    how to make items in shops allways have gold/silver slots?

    any help much appreciated.

    Maybe I missed something somewhere, but where is the balance.txt file located? I've looked everywhere I thought possible for it and I'm not finding it.

    I have Vista 32bit
    and game version 2.43

    I hope someone can help. Thanks.

    at the risk of resurrecting an old dead thread...I found some interesting changes to make (and as of yet I have not found these modifications listed)...so they don't appear to be duplicated.

    In balance.txt I changed the following lines:
    DropMaxRandomRare from 12 to 1000
    DropPowerupRare from 4 to 1000
    ALL drops are now RARE...including potions...small health sell for 16-17K each...scrolls 46K and so on...talk about easy money...better than the item dupe method?

    and these changes make runes dirt cheap:
    SwapRune_One from 125000 to 15
    SwapRune_Two from 25000 to 10
    SwapRune_Three from 5000 to 5
    SwapRune_Four from 500 to 1
    I tried lowering them to 5,4,3,1 but ended up with erratic results.

    Edit: LifeRegenerationDelayTime from 500 to 1: nearly instant life regen.

    There is a line that directly controlls how many items drop from each kill.Can't remember exactly how it reads but it is in the first line of the rune section area of the balance file.
    The default number I think was 350 but I have had it as high as 20000 with awsome results.Anything in this section can be that high and still make a big difference.

    In case anyone hasn't found it yet, there is a line in balance.txt..

    SkillGroupPoints = 5,

    if you set this to

    SkillGroupPoints = 0,

    then you can add skills in the second column without having to add the ones in the first and get 5 points in them. So you can add only the skills you actually want.

    I have an XP system and it is here

    C:\Program Files\Deep Silver\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\scripts\server\balance.txt

    Don't know about Windows 7 or Vista but it's probably wherever the Program Files folder is and then just follow the path for XP (i.e. Deep Silver\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\scripts\server)
