    Hey AngelSkye,

    Where did you get these lines that are in your balance.txt file and what do they do.

    SkillMagicFindFactor = 200,
    NumSectors = 3743,

    I'm Not sure...

    But it may have been added when I patched to 2.31.0.0

    Or It could have been added because I altered one of the other .txt files

    Or because I had added a mod to re-colour My Seraphim's Hair to a Nice Bluish-Whitish Colour
    Which Meant I had to unzip

    >D:\Program Files\cdv Software Entertainment USA\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\pak\graphics02\mq\maps\heroes\seraphim

    Then change the hair files and then re-zip the graphics02 folder back to its half original state
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Heres two images on what my seraphim's hair looks like...
    With Armor:
    For now I can give you a link to the mods if anyone wants them:
    ~~~~~~
    I had to use Google to translate the main site for me cause i can only read English...
    NOTE: The main site includes the directions on how to install them

    Translated (English): translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sacred-legends.de%2F%3Fgo%3Ddownload%26catid%3D10&sl=de&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

    Not Translated (German): www.sacred-legends.de/?go=download&catid=10
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Ok this is the site I found the mods on it is an English site and it includes more pictures than the main site, sadly...
    So if you WANT to see a picture reference on the main site and don't see one, go to here for a picture..
    Ok just want to say in advance: Sorry that I have double posted.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    But I have a question...

    What values do I change in the balance file so that I can zoom IN more than the default settings?

    And then there's the opposite question...

    What values do I change in the balance file so that I can zoom OUT more than the default settings?

    According to the Official Sacred2 Forums "SomeOne" was asking a similar question to this:

    quote Start - Zsheezor

    In addition, you can further customize your camera options by creating an 'optionsCustom.txt' file.

    Paste this in the blank text file:

    camera = {
    cam1_trackdist_max = 2000,
    cam1_trackdist_min = 100,
    cam1_rotx_min = -0.05,
    cam2_trackdist_max = 2000,
    cam2_trackdist_min = 100,
    cam2_rotx_min = -0.05,
    cam_autorot_speed = 4.0,
    cam_autozoom_max = 2000,
    cam_autozoom_min = 100,
    cam_autozoom_speed = 8,
    heromenu_trackdist_max = 1200,
    heromenu_trackdist_min = 100
    }

    Be aware that you will need to use your middle mouse key to move the mouse up and down once you log back into the game. By default the camera loads first at 'ground zero'.

    In XP (not sure where in Vista) you will want to make your optionsCustom.txt file here:
    'C:\Documents and Settings\Zsheezor\Local Settings\Application Data\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2\optionsCustom.txt'

    Hope this helps,

    -Z

    quote end

    But im not looking to make a optionsCustom.txt

    Any help?

    lol.. yeah seems like the more safer route to take..maybe they'll make a english version because when i translated it at the very top it said "Help wanted" to make different languages of the tool and i remeber seeing english on the list. maybe.

    Well, not counting the unzipped files, which other .txt files have you edited, if any.

    Those 2 lines are not on my balance file and I have patched to 2.31.

    I don't know if the balance file is edited when you patch, but mine was not touched.

    Well Im going to do this list in order, I edited:

    C:\Documents and Settings\VampElf\My Documents\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2

    Most people dont know this but u can edit the hero##.sacred2stats files

    They contain all the info about your charecters!!! (Yes I tryed to edit one of mine, I tryed to edit my survival bonus percentage and my gold to see if they would change ingame) I dont know if it worked or not though )

    D:\Program Files\cdv Software Entertainment USA\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\scripts\server

    balance.txt
    Duhhhh...

    D:\Program Files\cdv Software Entertainment USA\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\pak

    The Grapics02.Zip
    The original Size was: 2,050,198 KB 1.95 GB
    The NEW Size is: 2,050,195 KB 1.95 GB

    D:\Program Files\cdv Software Entertainment USA\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\scripts\shared

    itemtype.txt
    (all i did was copy and paste some lines from this to a new txt file so no editing, this is where i discoverd the new sera hairstyle!!)

    creatureinfo.txt
    I edited the seraphim lines of hairstyles then changed them back because i thought they were causing problems in loading up a new seraphim charecter...

    C:\Documents and Settings\VampElf\Local Settings\Application Data\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2

    Created optionsCustom.txt

    Yeahhh Thats alot of files, and my sacred 2 still runs like I installed it yesterday

    I have tried to edit the hero stats file in the past.

    It doesn't show all the correct info, and it doesn't seem to work either.

    I think i'll try to edit one thing at a time and see which works, I think the save file will have to be edited as well.

    What did you do with the itemtype.txt file.

    And something I discovered, if you edit the lines below, not quite sure what the second one does, in the balance.txt file you can change the area of effect of certain combat arts.

    RangeArea = 200
    RangeNear = 45

    I tried it while using a seraphim and the revered technology art flaring nova had a massive range.

    It might effect the enemy as well though, I haven't come accross one using a similar area effect attack yet.
