I got it to open no problem under vista on a UK keyboard. like all other games just hit the ` key next to the number 1

i can get it up but i got the problem that i cant see what i typing bekaus its out of the screen

i can see the end of the text i am typing, exp i type player.addav Agility 10, i only see lity 10, any surgestion on how to fixs this?

Try increasing or decreasing the resolution until it all comes onto the screen, otherwise you may have to just make sure what you are typing is accurate, and that you don't need to see it.

Finally a mod like ring of console for oblivion out there THIS IS A CONSOLE NOT WORKING UNDER VISTA FIX

I have vista and tilde key doesn't work. What do I have to do?

well, first off, does the game "pause" when you hit the ~ key? for example, if an npc is walking when you hit the ~ key does that npc freeze in place? if so then the console is probably working, you just can't see what you are typing. try changing to a wider resolution.
if the game doesn't pause, try what zerosk8j suggested with the media center stuff (sorry, don't have vista so i don't know what all that suggestion entails).
or try the mod shianova linked to. it adds a new item to the game that lets you access the console without the ~ key.

(yes i know it's called the tilde key, but i'm to lazy to type it out every time )

This just proves that you don't read before you post look at the last thing I wrote it's a 100% WORKING fix for the console and vista problems
