i did have both following me around, but i got sick of going back to the last save everytime dogmeat got killed.fawkes on the other hand is great, you never have to watch over him.he isn't scared of anything,well almost anything.one time against a bohemouth he droped his gun and shouted RUN AWAY!!! i was completly lmao.the guy is hilarious sometimes to watch.fawkes is def down for life,the best sidekick i ever had in a game.i only wish there was more dialogue with him ,its way to Limited.it would be awesome if you could give him tasks to perform for you,like go kill thoes fools and bring back the loot

i just used the console commands to make my companions un-killable.. i just hate it when dogmeat dies
