this is a great game, i loved COD 1 + expansion, 2 and i did like 4 for its repeatability (i enjoy sniping people). COD 1,2,3 were all part of the same war (i think) told from similar perspective but different events. COD 4 jumped away from that and gave it a new lease of life, although it was in my opinion too easy. I was sort of expecting another COD4 when i heard about this- but then i played it- amazing story, well thought out, great AI, and nothing beats a good shooter. Fair enough people say this is too much like the other games, but in amongst all the fighting and war, how many battlegrounds looked the same. To be frank comparing a game to its predecessor is a bit mad, there will be shortcomings in some areas, but look at the games on their own and judge it on how you enjoy the experience of living the game. How many judge a game by how good or bad it is alone, play it and enjoy it don't judge it.

I thought this game was much more than expected and i enjoy the variety of the missions, yes i know its mainly shoot this and this, but its how you do them what makes it different. I honestly can't see a problem with the picture as someone mentioned- there is the odd time when its blurry but thats because its supposed to be (how many would be an inch from death with perfect vision. Why complain about the ringing after a grenade when all its meant to do is what its designed to when it goes off too close- disorientate you and ring in your ears. I enjoyed the experience 90%, with the 10% being lost for how long it takes to install- although it does get into the game quite quickly.

sorry for the rant- but think about why the developers make a game the way they do and how much work and effort goes into something that gives so much enjoyment- and think about the compromise that has to be made between what the genre needs and what the gamers want.
as you stand, gun in hand, ready for the attack. The calm before the storm is broken...BANG...headshot from a sniper.
I wait in darkness until the opertunity arrives- picking my timing and position, seeing the whites in your eyes before the trigger is pulled and life fades from my opponents.
