Go to the store where you bought it, and with a reciept ask for a new game, but let them check the game by trying to install it on a laptop or something if the error occurs then they should give you a new game but keep you kode^^
That's if they let you return opened PC games, I know mostly throughout the states that they don't allow it, in other countries... they might...
Thanks for your help lads, but so far nothing has worked,
tried copying over all items from the disc but Map_0 and Map_1 and one of the movie files refuse to transfer (doing my head in)
Nothing else has worked, (even says Map_1 is corrupt when i try to open it)
Tried all the options on the EA site, and the forums, it appears that a few people are having this problem, and EA has done nothing about it, or is not getting back to people on it.
Ah well, i wont give up hope,
might just return it to the shop and get a new copy, though at this stage im ****ed with EA. The chances of me, buying one of there games again, is very, very small.
I was just wondering if you had tried the disk in another system. Frequently I have found that some optical drives my not be reading the media correctly. Dust buildup often can degrade the optics in DVD readers to the point where they read sometimes but not all the time (as the laser starts reading the outer tracks).
Just a guess.
