Well at least its something we can ramble to our grand kids about.
"Back in my day sonny, we didn't have those flashing virtual reality modules, no sir, we played on consoles and something called PCs, and although the graphics wasn't the best, at least the stories was fantastic"
With the rate things are going, Fallout 7 will be the new game during their time, if we dare talk about the 2nd one, we'll probably get burned for it :P
But yeah, as far as turn-based games go, Fallout 2 cannot be topped. It's kinda like natural selection, survival of the fittest. And gamers know how Fallout 2 still survives till today with that resolution and Restoration Project. Now, if we could only get the world of Fallout 2 implemented in Fallout 3....
...
Wait, is that a good way to use one of my 3 magic wishes?
hell yeah.
what is so good about F2 i cant stand topdown games .nothing puts you into a game better than a fps.F3 is like you are realy in the world after a nuclear war.i just cant get into a game where you are looking down at a gameboard its like playing checkers or D and D or something.when you are wondering around discovering things in the wasteland or in the tunels, how can you possably get as good of a experience by looking down at a gameboard.
There were more options in Fallout 2 than Fallout 3. More options means more choices. I don't disagree that Fallout 3 is better looking, but Fallout 2 had better gameplay because of all the options and choices you could pick from. Hopefully Fallout 3 will get modded by fans of Fallout 2 who will bring back all those options and choices that made Fallout 2 so popular. What's so great about Fallout 3's map is that it's cell based, so someone could recreate the world of Fallout 2 as a cell that runs parallel to Fallout 3's. Just like Oblivion had a magical cell based door that could transfer the character to the parallel world of Shivering Isles.
