If you want a pretty good taste of the game before you play watch the dead space downfall anime

"Pretty good taste" is relative.
It was generic as hell and anyone with half a brain could foresee what was about to happen at every turn. :P

Still, gotta admit it was enjoyable to some degree.

Well...its a planet cracker ship..not a battleship..in downfall the whole security team was around..dunno..6 people? And unlike our lucky engineer Isaac..they didn't knew how to kill them from the beggining..and the whole thing started way before they could prepare..aka get weapons ammo and so on

Dead Space..looks so much like Doom 3 but with better graphics..indeed it is "generic" in the way that you are EXPECTING at every corner to see some Necromorph jump on ya.Its not really booring. Very fun and the story is confusing yet awesome at the same time
