i strongly recommend copying out the game directory before hand or doing some form of backup before you update.

Many people are getting cd-key errors and a bunch of people with ATI cards report the screen going black and having to either reinstall to go back to 1.0 or disabling the ATI Catalyst.

just fair warning. I got the black screen and i don't even run the Catalyst so i have to reinstall.

Well after the second time I ran the game (before I updated to 1.0.1) When I start the game it doesn't show the intro movie just goes stright to the main menu. So I reinstalled the game and now it still goes stright to the main menu be also for about a minute I have to look at a blank screen and listen to music before the main menu comes up. I called EA and they were no help. Anybody else having this problem????? Any help would be appreciated.

yea i finally get the menu but it takes a long time. i've been looking on EA's forums and no one seems to care about this issue.

man i hate EA sometimes.

As far as I know, the patch does nothing to the singleplayer part, I mean, it doesn't update anything usefull for the singleplayer part, so if you have issues, don't update.

What happened is your intro movie files were moved or deleted, I have the same thing on BF2 but I removed then intro movies intentionally to get into game faster, or maybe there turned off as an option, or look at your config files.

I agree it is a little slow.. but not still manageable, but thanks for the update. I do have an ATi card, but didn't notice any notice slowdowns with exceptions like clicking, settings, and it will take like 2-5 seconds to actually get there.

mines getting better. it was 30-60 seconds. now only about 10-20. but seems to be random. regardless this is a stupid glitch.

On the Beta i never had this issue and yesterday when i first installed it it worked fine.
