Ok, installed Fallout 3 yesterday from Steam, the trainer works except within a few minutes of using it the game crashes with no chance of ignoring the warning as suggested by the instructions. I am running the game at 1900x1200 (or 1920? its 1080p in any case). When the crash occurs if I alt-tab out, I cant go back to the game.
Some people have mentioned not using profiles or something along those lines, how are you doing that? I originally didnt care if it was linked to my live account (which I had with an xbox 360) but I removed it from being linked to my game by deleting the xlive folder and moving my saves from save/username to just saves (that worked to keep me from logging into windows live) and the game still crashes.
Any fixes or work arounds ?

rename the fallout.exe.cat file to something else to disable live. you can also try our D2D trainer.

Neither of those things fixed the problem, infact the D2D trainer crashed as soon as F1 was used. The Retail trainer seems to crash whenever I use either option 4, 7, or 8
I went an entire vault level using 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 without a crash got outside, used 4, 7, and 8 and it crashed a few moments later.

I am having this issue as well.
Vista 64 and the trainer.
The game runs fine, no crashing, without the trainer. Turn the trainer on and the game crashes in moments.

I use XP 64Bit and it also has this problem. It works for a couple minutes in then just crashes. no warning message or anything.

Near as I can tell , it looks to happen most frequently with option 8 - 4 and 7 have worked for me without a crash, mostly. Perhaps because 4 and 7 are simply adding one value to another, its alright. Perhaps since Option 8 is keeping your Rad levels down (a constant effect) something is happening there? I would wager a good deal it has much more to do with it being 64 bit as opposed to purely keeping rad levels down. 64 bit is much more likely to be an memory addressing issue (Im wondering how much Ram the rest of you have?) The benefits are seen once you go over 3GB of Ram, less than that and there's no reason to have a 64 bit OS

I have the same problem, but it always happens minutes after i activate it. I haven't found certain keys that trigger it.
