9/11...you couldn't be more wrong. GTA San Andreas came out in what 2004 and it had planes you could fly. Maybe not a 747 but a plane/jet none the less.
I blame laziness on their part after being overly ambitious with adding in horrible rag doll physics and way too realistic driving or trying to make it more realistic. I Mean I played a few games 3 or 4 years ago with better physics and I don't play GTA for realistic driving. I'll play a driving sim if I want realism and physics added in although nice for the first 2 min until you realize none of the body movements are at all real and add nothing to game play.
In GTA 5 Please give us planes/more drivable vehicles variety is what made GTA San Andreas sooo much fun for me. Make the handbrake useful outside of tapping again. I know it's not realistic to take turns at 80 Mph+ but that's why we play games, for fun. I never got that virtual realism of some games like Skate. Yeah it's fun for the first hour and the mega ramp was a blast, but after that your just doing single kickflips or very limited chains. If I wanted that I'd go learn how to skateboard.
Also IV is missing drivable trains and the harrier-like jet with missles Oh well glad I borrowed it first.
Let me explain this again.
GTA IV is in NEW YORK CITY, where a PLANE FLEW INTO A BUILDING and KILLED THOUSANDS of people.
San Andreas was not in New York City so that is irrelevant.
Rockstar is not stupid enough to make a game where you have the option to fly planes into buildings while playing a game in the city it happen in in real life.
