simple question for those of you using the console cheats. do they disable the achievements?

Well, based on current perceptions: Microsoft doesn't like / approve of cheating in their games, and Bethesda has a ****load of cheats overall. So i'm guessing yes it would... of course modding your saves shouldn't

Make a tempory gamertag and try them on there.

i did. i used my side tag and i used the god mode cheat. no achievements blocked. Got the GOAT and escape achievement with god mode on. so safe to say right now achievements are not blocked with at least the god cheat.

Still safer to use a trainer with LIVE games.

NICE! The Orange Box on 360 also has cheats and it doesn't block the Achievements. Same for many Ubisoft games on 360.

I hope it'll be the same for Quantum of Solace.

To answer your question, No. The current cheats do not disable you achievements.

They're from the Xbox 360. each game has either 200 or 1000 achievement points that you can earn that go to your gamerscore to show how good you are at completing games. Couple years back Microsoft brought the system over to the PC with Games For Windows LIVE. so any PC game you see that says that also has achievements.

Halo 2, Gears of War, Fallout 3, Kane and Lynch are a few of them. Grand Theft Auto IV is the next LIVE title.

very very very easy achievements. just for beating all the quests it's like 750 and some of the other ones you'll easily get just by playing the game. kill 300 creatures, kill 300 people, find 100 places, only ones you really have to work for is finding the bobbleheads and build one of each weapon.
