Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Message Board  

i have tried running this game on my computer but all i get is a black screen and no sound. when i alt-tab or try to reach task manager i can see the white mouse pointer, but i am forced to reboot.

this game either is too powerful for my machine (although i ran crysis and farcry 2 and other games with no problems and smoothly) or there is something wrong with my game.

at any rate, it's impossible at the moment for me to work on the trainer if i cannot run the game.

any info on this situation or links to similar postings such as mine are appreciated.

I don't know if this will fix your problem.

this game is running on next gen technology meaning its recommended that you either have a core 2 duo or a Quad Core processor

also I can send you a no-cd patch from reloaded if you need it.

ah, I was afraid this might happen......... There is a whole storm of optimization problems with this game...... Caliber did you get the retail dvd version? or the downloaded shared one?

Caliber. mind telling us your system specs?

Caliber, if other people like myself are able to run this game fine...do you think there is a way you can guide me to make a trainer for everyone for you? lol or will i be getting way over my head?

The only problem i had was at upon launching the game it said i didnt have enough Virtual memory set to run the game i upped the VM bada bing im kicking symbiot butt. I dont know if that is your problem or not Cal but thought i let it be known just in case or perhaps others had that minor problem.

This is a very high end game and the physic are awesome as hell i have a physics card in my rig i think that really adds to the realism of this game venom has never looked better as far as the actual comic book venom look goes. Obly played it thru 2 missions so far but WOW im impressed so far, key words SO and FAR, im sure ill becoming up with something i wont like. lol

But yes as soon as you can get the game to run i have a really bad feeling a trainer will be needed.

Cal you and the rest do great work i know you will get it up and running soon enough, you and the rest keep up the great work.
