Ok. So. I've updated my game. Everytime I start the game with the trainer opened it works fine up until I want to start an actual game or something. Then BFME shuts off and I go back to the windows screen with a display saying: 'Gamedat encountered a problem and needs to close'. How can I make this trainer work? Please somebody help. So frustrated.!!

Unlike most games, this one doesn't show anywhere what version of the game it is using. I too downloaded the latest patch, and when starting the game with the trainer it crashes and just doesn't work if you activate it after starting the game.
Could it be EA made a patch higher than a 2.01 version since this Trainer was made and that's what the problem is? Not neccesarily things that the Trainer Troubleshoot guide could fix? I am starting to give that a go (no I've never had to before if I had the right version of trainer and its appropriate trainer version).
If that doesn't work, I am gonna try unintalling it, reinstalling, and then manually downloaded the 2.01 patch to see if that's what the issue is.
Still, if anyone knows if this game is using something higher than 2.01 as a version currently, please post here when you can to save me a world of trouble

I figured out how this trainer works.
I got it to work only by being in the middle of a map (campaign or skirmish), going to the menu, alt tabbing out, turning the trainer on, going back to the game, then using the trainer hot keys. After that everything kicked on just like it should.
I suggest you give that a go for those who have had trouble working. For the folks at Cheat Happens, you may want to put that tip into the trainer's read-me as an alternative thing to try should the trainer not work at launch or when activated at the game's main screen.
