If you node into the Uplink Test Server first, for which the password never changes, it's very easy to erase or modify the logs there, and since it's your first node, and relatively safe, you can always find it
You're safe as long as your IP can't be found, so only the first node is important.
It's more convenient to use InterNIC. There is no security and no admin user so you can connect directly from the gateway, click on the stored password and go straight to the logs.
I only use the Test Machine with the log modifier to frame someone, so I'm 100% secure even if someone reverts the modified log.
