You must tilt in the opposite direction that he's leaning and then press DOWN (on the right thumbstick) to destroy him when you're both in the upright position.

Noticed this myself good for defeating the blue troll in the ice map. But i find a good laser canon knocks them down withing seconds. just stay clear or jump when that hammer lands.
Question, how do you get the achievement for the armor set. I have all the same armor group but still can't get the achievement?

well you have the hole armor, there are weapons whit same name as armor as well and i think you have to have them to
