FPS crash

Just wanted to see if anyone else has run into this. When you get to the part where you are driving the hover craft, and its snowing, my frame rate just crashes to unplayable levels. I have a monster machine and not sure what would cause this. It did it on my other M1730 laptop as well. If anyone has any info on this it would be appreciated. Thanks.
