Okay,I'm loving the game, but I need lock pics really bad or i cant complete one of the guild quests.So....anyone know where i can buy lock pics?
"But wait." You say, "I saw Sgt. Johnson die twice now already. What's up with that?"
Well, think of Sgt. Johnson as being like Kenny from South Park. No matter how many times he dies he'll always come back. Why? Well, it's complicated.

Hmm you can buy from the guild but you can also unlock the Skeleton Key from Nocturnal unfortunately if you're low lvl it's going to be difficult. The shrine to Nocturnal can be found south near the Black Marsh close to Bravil or one of the cities down there. As I said if you're low level you'll have to keep buying lockpicks until you reach the needed level. The skeleton key basically makes your lockpics unbreakable. If you need more info on this quest urgently you can go on yahoo and write Oblivion Wiki which has all sorts of tips and hints for Oblivion.I think it's for the PC oblivion but it's all the same...I think.

Try some of the battle item vendors in the main city, smash n' bash, the best defense, etc. Some of them sell up to ten lockpicks. Also, if you are in the thieves guild, you can buy infinite lockpicks from what I think are called fences, people in the thieves guild who give you assignments depending on your level. Haven't played in a while but you can look it up.
EDIT: And yes, when you get more levels, try for the skeleton key. It is the best.

Currently lost, I make my way through life somehow without being in complete despair. Mostly alone due to timidity and fear, I wait for someone to clear the fog and break the shell hidden within.
If I am online, I am probably bored so be sure to send a message to me if you want.

Dareloth's Garden at midnight, talk to Armand Cristophe. 5 gold for one lockpick. Go crazy.
If you're on PC, go to the console and type in: player.additem 0000000A [number of lockpicks you want]. It's cheating, but hey...>_>

And if you have the Pirate Cave and Wizard's Tower expansion (can't remember the actual name), you can buy them from one of the dudes in Dunbarrow Cove.

I find a easy way to get alot of lockpicks is to go to dungeons and forts and loot it all the way through. Look for chests, those usually contain quite a few.

Start the beginning of the Thieves Guild quests and you can get them from Armand Cristophe and later on you can get this item called the Skeleton Key that will never break. You get it from a Daedric Quest.
