Regarding the Mega Trainer 1.1 Intl., Unlock All Plasmids, Unlimited Life....

BEFORE ANYBODY TELLS ME TO GO TO THE "TRAINER TROUBLESHOOTING PAGE", I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE AND TRIED EVERYTHING LISTED! SO DON'T BOTHER TELLING ME TO GO THERE AGAIN!

Right, basic problem is that if I launch the trainer before the game is launched, none of the options work. But if I launch the game first, alt-tab and then launch the trainer, the game crashes immediately.

What's worse, when this happens all of the settings reset to default - meaning I have to rebind all of my keys, change the graphics settings and (really annoying) change all of the audio settings (which don't apply until the game has been closed and relaunched).

I downloaded a no-CD patch and that just shifted the crash point to any time I try to actually load the game (that is, it didn't crash at the menu but did everywhere else).

Just what is going on? I am sick to the back teeth of having my in-game settings reset to default.

Yes, I hate the resets. I think you can mod your defuser.ini file to set binds permanently. I'll try that later today.

I'm finding only way to get cheats to work is to bind them in the defuser file. Trainer didn't work so I'll try another trainer and procedure.

    Game crashing sooooo sucks.

I have the Cut Multi 2 Version of the game, sadly germany only sells this version. The Trainer is for the Worldwide edition of the game so everytime I use that trainer the game crashes. I don't know what to do. A "no DVD Patch" doesn't work either.

Trainer wont work with your version, that's why its crashing, it wouldn't work for you even if it didn't crash any way, the memory entries are in different locs for your game

Try dR.oLLe His trainers are for the German releases.

For those of you with the right version whom crash anyway, Here's a workaround:

    1. Start trainer then game, at menu hit f1, let it crash, close the game but not the trainer.

    2. Start the game again, this time hit f1 again at the menu, you wont crash, you can then activate cheats, BUT!...

    3. now close the game and close the trainer.

    4. run the trainer one more time, DO NOT PRESS ANY KEYS YET!!

    5. start a game or load a save, once it is playing, Alt Tab without hitting escape to pause the game first, then in windows hit F1 , the screen will flash as if the game crashed but it didn't crash, You will hear Activated , go back in and you can now use cheats,

NOTE: You will have to make a custom key file using the Cheat Happens Trainer Manager For this method to work.

You will also have to launch the trainer from the manager by right clicking it and selecting "run this trainer with custom keys"

    Hope that helped

I have this same problem, but at first it was like hit and miss. Sometimes it would work on the first try and others it'd take a few tries. Now it won't work at all. Plus, for some odd reason whenever I double-click the trainer shortcut it moves to some random spot on my desktop. ...really weird.
