Well i guess i will ask again since no one answered me the first time. Could someone please tell me is this a enhanced expansion of the for the first game or is it a standalone?
TIA...
If you have the original version go the official site and download the 900MB patch. That will update you to the enhanced edition. It's free. You'll need to use the Steam trainer with that version (Steam and the patch use a different exe from the boxed retail version).

Has anyone had any luck using the 1280 trainer on the retail box version (not the upgrade or steam version)? I can play the game fine without the trainer, but if I hit F1 at the menu, it crashes when I try to start a new game or load a game, and if I wait until I'm in the game, it immediately crashes when I hit F1. The game reports itself as .1280 when it crashes, and I've tried playing with all the sound acceleration options. As I said, the game doesn't crash when I don't activate the trainer. I've followed the troubleshooting advice in the normal troubleshooting thread.
Windows XP SP3 Pro
I'm tempted to borrow the original game from a friend and just run the upgrade process to get to 1282, same net effect, the company still has my money.
Edit: I tried the steam trainer, and it works, even with the different game versions. Did the 1280 work for anyone?

I'm playing the retail boxed Enhanced Edition, and the trainer works fine for me (caliber rocks )
