    Just not satisfied with the command point limiting you to having more troops on the battlefield? Simply follow these steps, and you will on your way to having more troops on the battlefield.

    Step 1:
    Download the ini’s or extract the ini files. Easiest way is to download them here:
    www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/rpgplanet/memw/mods/b4me_ini.zip

    Step 2:
    Unzip the file you just downloaded.

    Step 3:
    Take the folder called ini you just unzipped, cut or copy it, and navigate yourself to TBFME game folder on your computer. Default: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm).

    Once there find and open the folder called data. Paste the ini folder you cut or copied into the data folder

    Step 4:
    Enter the ini folder you just pasted and look for and open the file called gamedata.ini

    Step 5:
    Look for the following section inside the gamedate.ini file you just opened.
    ;;; CAMPAIGN BONUS CAPS
    GoodCommandPointLimit = 300
    EvilCommandPointLimit = 600
    PowerLimit = 60
    ResourceMultiplierLimit = 5.0

    ;;; INITIAL MAX RING LEVEL PLAYER CAN ACHIEVE
    InitialMaxRingLevel = 60 ;2

    ;;; Resource Bonus Percentage ResourceBonusMultiplier = 10.0 ; 10% bonus per region conquered

    ;;; COMMAND POINTS FOR SOLO PLAY HUMAN (INCLUDING LIVING WORLD) ;;;
    GoodCommandPoints = 100
    EvilCommandPoints = 300

    GoodCommandPointsBonus = 20 ; bonuses for every territory captures in living world
    EvilCommandPointsBonus = 50

    ;;; COMMAND POINTS FOR SOLO PLAY AI ;;;
    GoodCommandPointsAI = 200
    EvilCommandPointsAI = 600

    ;;; COMMAND POINTS FOR MULTIPLAY ;;;
    GoodCommandPointsMP2 = 200 ; 2 players
    EvilCommandPointsMP2 = 400

    GoodCommandPointsMP3 = 150 ; 3 players
    EvilCommandPointsMP3 = 300

    GoodCommandPointsMP4 = 150 ; 4 players
    EvilCommandPointsMP4 = 300

    GoodCommandPointsMP56 = 100 ; 5-6 players
    EvilCommandPointsMP56 = 200

    GoodCommandPointsMP78 = 80 ; 7-8 players
    EvilCommandPointsMP78 = 160

    Step 6:
    As you can now see, those are the command point limits. You should be able to understand what each one does. To change any of them just increase the number. After you do your changes, hit the save button.

    Step 7: You have now changed the command point limit, BUT it is not going to work in game yet. Navigate yourself back to the main B4ME folder. Default: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm). Look for a file called INI.big. Select the file, right click on it, and select Cut. Now go to any other folder on your computer and paste the INI.big file to it.

    In order for your changes to take effect, you need to remove the INI.big file. Otherwise, the default settings will still take effect. Even if you rename INI.big to something else, your modifications would still not work.

    To go back to the original settings in the game, just cut and paste the original INI.big file back into the B4ME folder. You don’t have to worry about removing the ini folder.

    Multiplayer Note:
    If you wish to play online with these settings, then you need to make sure that the person you are playing with has the exact same changes done to his files as well. Best way to do this is to have one person make the modifications and then send all of the ini files to whom he/she wants to play online with.

    I think this guy means "Copy" and Paste. It's not "Cut" and paste. This isn't construction paper So, for anyone confused, make sure you do Copy instead of Cut, unless of course there's some reason you'd cut instead of copy, in which case clarification would be great 🤔

    Do you think you can post the link to allow us to download those ini's, without having to register with Fileplanet? There's usually a free download option with any file I ever get there.

    yes you do CUT, not copy, that is why it says CUT.

    the reason for cutting is removing the file from the folder, as renaming it doesn't work.
    It's not that hard, follow the instructions exactly and you won;t have a problem

    it doesn't cost anything to register for fileplanet, login, search for file and download

    Ok, thanks for the clarification, but what about editing the big.ini. I notice in there there are all the stats for the main hero's such as Gandalf's and Aragorn's Hit points and Health and build times. Have you figured out how to edit those yet, since they're really more important than the Population cap. I think it'd better to have fewer really strong units.
