Well there seems to be a rather annoying bug in the forest, sometimes the guardian beeings say HELL NO i dont want to spawn or they spawn outside the map, i dont know how to help you there i had to start again one time but i tried to go through the second time it happened to me i tried to go through it again and i found that there were some guardians that didn't want to spawn the first time.

you have to continue to the last guy and speak to him then go back fight the monsters and then speak with that indian guy:P
