Settlers: Rise of an Empire Message Board  

I have tried every cheat that calibre etc have released. I have even upgrades to version 1.6 and tried that version cheat. The seem to work until you try to load the missions, the mission load loading bar doesnt even get to 33% and it crashes, this is was the error report says :-

ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000011a3

I havr the actual report that goes to microsft if you want that too but it would be very long

Seems I am not the only person it seems to effect, perhaps using this information or the full error report, someone can figure out what the deal is. Also every game in existance has physical codes you enter to add some sort of cheat to it, being the use of the ~ then entering a command, has anyone considered this option and supplying this way of cheatting, cause I cant find anything anywhere except trainers that dont work.

mmmmm, seems noone is interested in supplying a cheat or trainer that actually works. Being a cheat site, I am sorry if I made the mistake of thinking there may be someone smart enough to work out why it doesnt work or a possible work around. Silly me HUH

why are you being this way? we've had this trainer out in many versions with no one else reporting this so adamantly as you. try loading your mission first and then press F1 to activate the trainer (instead of at the main menu) and see if this helps your situation. this game is so old and we have supported it through 6 or more patches, which nobody else has even come close to doing. i don't think we deserve the badmouthing. i am sorry you are having problems but we've had thousands and thousands of downloads of this trainer with only a few users reporting major problems such as yourself, which i just cannot replicate here. therefore it becomes impossible to fix a problem that we cannot duplicate here! once again i am very sorry!

This is the thing about forums, the written word can sometimes have the reader read more into it than it means.
I am not bad mouthing your or anyones work, simply that the particular trainer does not work, I and many others are have the exact same problem, they are scattered throughout this forum, some even date back to the actual release date of the 1.5 patch.

I applaud the efforts you and all creaters make to have these trainers available, some games are easier than others. This one I guess was a bit of a hassle. I have tried your method - it doesnt work, tried loading and F1 at main menu, crashes after a short stall around the 33% mark loading the next game. Tried it during and at start of mission, can sometime cause a crash during game, notification sound of F1 being pushed can be heard but number pad activations do nothing.

I have tried disconnecting from internet, loading new 1.5 patch no go, tried installing 1.6 patch, no fixed exe around for that so keeps asking for disk , even tried moving files around the place as mentioned in 1 forum post.

All in all, it doesnt work. It only seems to conflict with the Reloaded release of 1.54279, for some unknown to me reason it doesnt like it, perhaps its because although same release nuber as everywhere else, maybe coding slightly different between countries, I am not that smart to work that out and checking code.

In no way was it to be a trainer creator bashing and if it come accross that way its because of late night frustration and the lack of response to my first post. I have since pointed the problem out to PWizard send a link to the error, if anything you may discover the root cause of the problem and thus benefit from it knowledge wise for the next one that is having the same problem

thanks for your testing and your knowledgeable feedback. also i appreciate your mature tone and i sincerely mean that! i been frustrated before when posting so i understand totally. we actually have a storebought version of the game (and the eastern realms addon) and i have not seen these effects with testing here. you aren't the only person who has posted problems that we can't seem to replicate (not only this game, but others as well) and it is very frustrating-

usually crashing is one of several things:

1) wrong game/trainer version
2) incompatable game version (trainer doesn't match a NO-DVD or some sort of international or STEAM version, etc.)
3) spyware blocking trainer
4) antivirus blocking trainer
5) trainer itself has an error in it (i am not perfect!)
6) OS incompatabilities (rarely)
7) and then there's UNKNOWN!?! which we may never find the cause

thanks again and we appreciate ANY feedback (unless people are just being outwright mean or there is nothing useful in the feedback to help us uncover the problem). Unfortunately we can't always 'fix' what is wrong for that user-

Another suggestion i have specifically for you is to turn OFF all options before clicking to go to the next mission. i am just trying to help-

I have dibs of it fitting in #7 UNKNOWN

All the others have checked out, the only one I cant really check would be the incompatability to a no-dvd exe, so it could possibly be #2, all others have been checked, disabled virus and antispam etc disabled, although cant guarantee that for sure, its the right version even dowloaded a legit patch and tried it with the no-dvd exe.

SO I am still shooting for the #7 UNKNOWN, just one of those things

i think the person that is simply mean is an isolated case, most of the frustrated people here are just your average joe who just wanted a working trainer to get pass that difficult level or just wanted a more fun gameplay.

bear in mind that most of this 'joes' don't know the inner working of trainer making, coz if they do, they would had tackle the problem on their own and none of this frustration will arise.

hopefully cal and all the cheathappens.com teams realize this since currently your website is among the most visited and probably the top website for cheating gaming or gaming cheating or (fill in the correct term here), and it is essential to retain that status.

hopefully in the future your trainer will be working 99% of the times and there will be less frustrated joe whining in this site...

I just tried out this service, and these trainers don't work for me either I am having crashes. I am very experienced in using these and clearly I have followed the directions by versions are the same Ive tried about 30 different things nothign is working. Perhpas you need to recreate trainer entirely?



UPDATED WITH SOLUTION!:

I found out why it wasn't working. I downloaded a No-CD Fix for the game it was a Cracked .exe that was causing the crash. I just inserted the Game and it works as it should now with the trainer so use the real cd and not the No-CD Crack. Also I ended up making my own mini image so I can emulate the disc.

All is working now!!!
