well actually it popped up the same window for me but i just pressed select savegame thingy and browsed to my saves folder... its somewhere in documents and settings>username>local settings>app data.
Heroes never die. They respawn.

Ive located the save file there now, so i dont have any problem anymore. Thx for all the people who helped out
