While I'm usually loathe to necro a post (or maybe re-necro in this case) I recently got back into Freelancer and I know I'm not the only one who comes back to this game now and again, so I figured I may as well give an review of this trainer to anyone who may come around looking for one.
First of all make sure you've updated to version 1.1. Since it's mostly server fixes a lot of players never grabbed it but believe me, if you want a trainer for Freelancer it's worth it. Overall this trainer works very well. The ship options all work and god mode does not affect enemy ships, something I noticed in the couple other trainers out there.
The options to save and recall a position have been a huge boon for me. It can be a bit discouraging to have a mission that requires you to return but takes you to the opposite end of the system. Thankfully with this now if I take such a mission I can just save near where I got it and teleport back there when it's time.
The money options did not work for me, unfortunately. It could perhaps be because I have not grabbed a No-CD crack, but in so far as I know the options are ineffective. That's no big deal to me though, since a memory scanner can pick up and let you edit the value for credits pretty easily.
Just a couple bugs and points to bear in mind. First your anti-viral software may pick this up as a trojan. It's not, thankfully, but the nature of trainers causes this to happen with some. Now It might have just been me, but I found it was better to run the trainer after the game had started. My game usually crashes if I try to run it first for some reason.
I would recommend that you turn off the "God Mode" option if you want to repair anything, and I mean anything, including unmounted weapons you picked up in some fight. The game just did not like it if I tried that with the option active. Do not use "Easy Kills" on any mission where you need or want something to stay alive! It affects all ships that aren't yours by killing off the hull in one or two hits. This is especially bad for the larger ships that have no shielding. If you don't need anything to survive though this can make fights with a lot of enemies a lot faster.
Finally there were just a couple minor/visual things for which I did not seek the source because they did not affect gameplay, but I'll mention them for the sake of it. One of these would occur with trade lane gates, and I assume it's got something to do with "God Mode." If the trade lane gets disrupted, once it comes back online its bar is filled beyond its max and extends off-screen. First time I saw it I thought something was wrong with my graphics card or drivers, but I discovered that specific pattern.
The second one I noticed, though it was purely visual, involved charging your cruise engines. Even with the "No Cruise Charge" option disabled the percentage indicating how charged they were was stuck at "0%" even though they did charge and work. I suspect it may have had something to do with the "No Thruster Drain" option, but I have not done any testing.
There are a couple things I would have liked to see included with this. One would be an option to give you infinite projectiles, i.e. missles, mines, etc. It would also be cool if it could save more than one location for teleporting. I doubt this trainer will receive any further programming or tweaking, so I'm mostly saying this for its own sake. Who knows? Maybe someone else will want to try their hand at making one for this classic.
In conclusion, out of all the trainers currently available for Freelancer the one provided in the link here is by far the best I've used. As I alluded to previously, if you want a trainer and don't have 1.1 yet go get it and grab this one. A couple issues here and there, but overall I've been happy with it. Again I apologize for dragging this old post along, but just in case anyone else comes looking around for this game again I figured I'd provide this.
