i have been playing the game trying to find diablos brother baal so that i can get to the cow level but i cant find baal can someone tell me where he is

If you have the expansion, you have to go through the entire fifth level, eventually leading to a cave area called the ancient's path. Go through that to Arreat Summit and kill the three barbarian elders. The door will then open to the area where baal is located. Go through the first and second floor, killing all of the monsters and getting all of the items and wealth. The third floor is where you finally get to see Baal. First, kill ALL of the monsters on the fourth floor and then go to where baal is sitting on the throne. He will send four or five sets of bosses and minions at you and you have to defeat all of them. Once they are defeated, Baal will take a warp point into the worldstone chamber and it will be your job to follow him in there and then to kill him.

well i have the expansion but i cant put it on my comp due to hard drive space issues so with out the expanion how do u find and kill him ...

Baal is in the expansion set. If you don't install it you cannot play the final stage (Baal). Hope i helped.

yea that helps thank you ... now since i beat diablo if i install the expansion do i have to restart the whole game to get the benifits of the expansion or will it just let me keep playing

You could also just hack for all the items needed for the cow level , I have been there...It was not too much fun

You just keep playing the last stage.
P.S. Don't uninstall Diablo 2. Keep it and install the expansion set otherwise you will lose everything.

No you will not have to restart, but you will have to change your character to an expansion character.
