i am sorry that i am a real noob but my friend gave me a burnt copy of her game and now mine if i update it over the net wont work what do i do about it? its really making me angry

I could tell you a solution. But instead, I'd rather say; buy a "real" copy of the game.

Just get on Amazon.com. They offer the game "new" for $9.99. Anyone can afford that.

Ask your parents if you can use their credit card. Or, if they don't trust you, have them place the order. I'm sure you can house clean or do chores to pay your parents back or maybe you get allowance. But there should be some way for you to save 10 bucks for the game.

Plus, if you're able to, Battle for Middle Earth 1 is only $9.99 new from Amazon.
