I heard they made mentions of it at this years E3 2008 convention.

So I guess it is in the works.

3 episodes = half life 3
They made it so people don't have to wait 3-4 years for one part.

I watched an interview with a valve staff member.

Some of HL3 is already out in the Episodes we play now but from what I understand there is still more to come.
