If you want to type in the console cheats without the Developer Mode, here's what you do, type ` to activate the console, first, you type con_restricted 0 after that, you should be able to type some cheats.

I tried that...im still out of ammo and no more weapons with the respective codes for them...

typing in DEVMODE doesnt make a diff either..I have version that the EA download manager was included, would that have made any differences? The CDs im using came out of the most recent crysis maximum edition.

When typing in a cheat code in the "diff normal" config file at the end of the file i get "Cannot create bla bla bla and to make sure the path and file are correct.

I had the same problem and this how to get round it:

Open file in Notepad and edit it.

Go to file -> save as

Change directory to My Documents (or any where other than the Crysis config folder)

Save as File Name = diff_normal.cfg

Save as Type = All Files

You can then copy and paste the new .cfg file into the Config folder for Crysis (You will need Admin rights if doing this under Windows Vista)

Now next time you start a game with normal difficulty it will use your modified config file instead.
