You pick up things from the fields and drop them into your bag, and then you throw it into the little barrel thing next to the house to your right.

Wrong.You harvest things that you GROW from your feilds or milk your cows or sheer your sheep and you put those items in the Shipment Box next to Takukura's house(I can never spell his name right).
