I can't find the "dev-console". I have enabled the console from the game options, but don't know how to drop the dev-console. Someone said to hit the "~" key but that doesn't work. Is my keyboard different to others (I have a # beneath the ~)? Please can someone help me!

You definitely have a different keyboard, I have Tab below Tilde(~) Although the Accent or whatever key( ` ) is the primary function of the key, to get ~ i have to hold shift. So try the ` key.
