I cant figure out how to talk to the wise old man. ill greet him but he goes hmmm. and I also was wondering why the sim modder doesnt work after you enter boolprop testingcheatsenabled true and then click spawn, everyone says there suposed to be a little baby that pops up after you click sim modder but it never worked, why?

for the wise old man you have to learn how to bow perfectly first. if u know how to bow just go up to random "native" sims and click gesture->bow. if u don't then a native may randomly come up to you and bow, then ur sim automatically knows the gesture.

for the sim modder i don't know exactly what it is bcuz i never use it.

While in Takemizu village, you need to have a local bow to you. I found that it's easier if you greet one first, and then don't interact with them at all. Right after that, you should see a pop up saying something like, Be greeted... or Gesture/Bow. After they bow to you, you will learn the Gesture. However, you need to practice bowing a few more times before you can bow properly.
This way works with the other gestures as well.

you don't need to bow to him,jut go straight for the tea.
after a while he'll tech you Tai-Chi.
and after you master the Tai-Chi,he will tell you the dragon legend.
