I defeated the Sapce Marines in the campaign mode, but for the life of me I cannot access the Dropship Feature. It tells you to go your stronhold and the make the purchase the same way for your honor guard - but it never comes up? Am I doing something wrong? Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Unfortunately this speciality is unique. It works only for the Space Marines. I tried out with the Orks after the defeat of the Space Marines, it won't work. So if you want to use this ability try to play with the Space Marines

It works like this : Go to the Space Marine's Stronghold and like the Honour Guard Units you can buy up to 3 Space Marine Squads and 2 Dreadnaughts. At the begining of the battle they will apear among the other (Honor Guard units and builder units) on the battlefield. After the battle the units return to the stronghold as well as the planetary founds.
Anyway the ultimate abillity is the Forward Base. Make shopping at the begining of every battle from the planetary menu, grants the following : Basic unit training building, 4 power generators, 4 turrets (for the species who have such defensive buldings), the upgrading building. And all of that at the begininb of the battle, no requisision requird!

It was my pleasure to help you. If you need more assistance for Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, i will help you. I have finished all the Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War games, so i have some experience. In my opinion the best release was Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War - Winter Assault. The Space Marines was the best at this game: Terminators use just 3 population cap instead of 4 and the Space Marine squad have 5 weapons at disposal. And this is the primary unit, so if you train 5 squad, it still remain 10 pop cap (3 Terminator squad's heavy infantry with machine gun). Have fun

There is a way to use the deep strike ability as any race. When you have it, go to YOUR stronghold and access the reinforcement area. Flip through the different types of reinforcements until you come to a bar entitled Deep Strike. Buy the units and look for the corresponding bar when attacking a province. It worked for me when I played as Imperial Guard.

Yeah the game is just so good back there... when u can build many unit as long as your pop cap allowed !

Compared to SS, its just like a bad mod from DC !
The map is so barren & even there is no different views between the stronghold or just a normal map !
Even worse, there are so many units being limited in numbers !

But worse of all is the lose of PERSISTENT building in this version !

The persistent building in this game can be somewhat reduced if you have the forward base ability gained from defeating the Sister of battle. With it you use requisition to beam in buildings next to your attacking forces and they remain after you win.
