Editing Blood, Maintenance Limit and Genes.

On this tutorial we will use [autosave_lifewave galaxy] as our example seeing as its the first mission you can gain from editing.

1. Open your Genesis Rising Folder and open the saves folder, then the highest numbered folder, Now look for the folder with your mission on it [autosave_lifewave galaxy] is the one we will use, and the first you will be able to start editing.

2. Open game_state.txt

3. Go down to where the startMaintenanceLimit is and change that to 300. Its set to 16 by default.

4. Go down to where the blood is and change the bloodAmount . On this mission you cant change it! but from the 3rd mission and onword you can!

5. Go down to where the Genes are. Before you start heres a tip about the genes.

gene - Its a gene
a - a = addon and w = weapon
Speed - Gene name
20 - Gene level

If you see another ship with a gene you dont have just add it like this "gene w nameofweapon level". Gene levels work up to 2000+. The higher the level of gene the longer it takes to add to your ship and the more blood it costs to make.

Now you see something like this:

Make sure if your adding or taking away genes always make sure you change the number before the gene list or you will crash the game. Also the first part of the list is the amount and the second part of the list of genes are the templates, So you can copy the first part again and again but [MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE NUMBER BEFORE THE GENE LIST TO THE NUMBER OF GENES YOU HAVE]

This list of genes isnt taken from any site, Its a list of all the genes i had or had taken from other races ships. all my own work

this list must have taken a while to put together. sadly I don't think any site has a list like this. heh now just think if you started any mission with all that and very little blood you're S.O.L.

Oh and if i remember rightly they higher the level the longer they take to add to a ship, altho if you spend ages waiting for them to add... well lets just say you wont be dieing very fast lol.

[EDIT] If you add them all before you finnish the level they will be fully equipped for the next level.
Save you waiting ages on a level 2000 gene

takes about five minutes for it to hit the top number, and you just watch your health on the ship go lower...

becomes fun after a while "how low can it go"

Good job i done all that ages ago because i forgot it all now :P

Doing a FAQ/Walk through just now, altho seems one of the levels wont load! :O and its right at the start of the top line, so i wont be able to do the walk through 100% if i cant get it to work.

is thier any way that u can increase how many gene slots your ships have? if so can u tell me how plz ^^, i have just started the game again and want to compleat it so i coppied the genes to make it easier :P

Honestly u dont need more slots, well sure more weapons but as for power set them as lvl 1000000000 genes as you finish a mission and ull be able to use them for the next one, however if i remember rightly if its a missile type cooldown wepon make sure its not at lvl gavillion or ull only be able to fire it once, reuse will be hours :L

I know, bit off your question, SO simple answer is no... Im sure theres a bit in one of the files somewhere [saves i think] that has "ship hard points 3" or something so u know it can take 3 genes but i tryed changing it im sure to no effect, or rather the effect was a crash however you wont need more hard points, basic weapon, armor and speed, and i think the first "good" ships have 3 points on it and the next ones 5? so you can get the best 5 and go crazy lol ~

Defo need the armor one quite high, "god mode"

I think i was going to replay the game a while back but i cant remember if i did or not
