i realize you have been upset by our newest additions to the trainers to prevent unauthorized postings of our trainers. it is sincerely for the members benefit.
the assassin's creed crashes were not due to the 'DRM' addition but were due to a stupid compiling error on my part, which would have happened on a completely unprotected trainer. i sincerely apologize for the inconenience! the new version of the trainers has been posted now.
the trainers can now be run online or offline. if you choose to run them offline, the only additional step is to obtain an offline key which takes literally 2 minutes to do. place the key in the same directory as the trainer and it will work without the online check. this same key can be used on that computer for all future trainers as well (you don't have to get another key for next game, etc.)
thanks for the feedback. we appreciate the feedback and point of view of members, whether the feedback is good or bad. your point of view helped us to make the decision to create the offline key system for those users who wish to play their trainers in situations where there may not always be internet.
thanks again!
best,
Cal
I apologise for my harsh words earlier, and yes, i understand that you have to do SOMETHING to protect your members. I also understand that ppl like myself, who are strongly anti-DRM, will also benefit in some way from your decision. But my stance that DRM of any form is liable to have some sort of a negative throwback in some way still stands.
I still sincerely wish that the DRM route could have been avoided altogether. However i'm also sure the decision was not an easy one to make and no matter what you do, from the standpoint of a content provider there is never going to be a 100% win.
But in any case, you guys have done an amazing amount of work for us members, and for that i do say thank you very much
Anyone having issue, please tell us:

I was running the DX10 trainer perfectly using the disc, but the disc got scratched and I purchased the game from Steam. It now does not work. WHen I hit "F1" it says "Trainer Activated" but keeps repeating the word "Activated" or at least part of it. It's definitely glitching. So bummed!
1. Windows 7
2. DX10
3. Steam
4. Downloaded it today, 10/28/09
