I read somewhere that i can simply copy the saved game files from the Beta/Pre-relase version and copy them over top of the new game files after i install the retail version of the game.

however, it doesn't seem to be working.

anyone know of a way of still restoring my saved games or if its still possible?

You only need to change the .sav file. In the beta version the name of the file was yourprofilename.sav. Create a new profile. Go to the map with the .sav file(s). And copy the number of the new .sav file. For example 000000000.sav copy the numbers and put it in front of your old .sav file. Then replace this newly created one with the one in the save map.
